When I became certified
as a diver, a whole new world was opened up to me. I grew up on the ocean
and felt I knew an awful lot about it. Seeing it from the bottom looking
up changed that opinion... I really know very little. After becoming
certified, I would go out with friends, throw on a bunch of weights, jump
in the water and crawl around after lobsters. We had a blast! Absolutely
no finesse, but TONS of fun! My husband and I signed up for John's Cozumel
trip looking forward to our first dive vacation. Once again, a whole new
world was opened up to me, this time by John. Although the way I had been
diving was fun (and quite common), John showed me that there is another
aspect of diving. Learning to be quiet, calm and controlled underwater
enhances my enjoyment and increases my bottom time. Trying to improve my
buoyancy skills is a challenge and a pleasure. With John's patience and
unflagging enthusiasm for diving, he creates an atmosphere of learning
without condescension. I feel very fortunate to have met John, he has
shown me that there is always more to see and learn. He has shown me how
to take a weekend hobby and turn it into a lifelong adventure. Thanks
John!

"John Noftall’s experience, connections, and thoughtfully planned trips
have really opened up my eyes to the sport of SCUBA diving. John’s
insight into training buoyancy skills helped me improve my diving
experience beyond anything I could imagine. The skills I am learning get
me closer to the ocean life than ever before.

“ I received my training from John Noftall and I believe I was fortunate
to happen to have John share his knowledge and experience with me and
pass on a special way of diving that not everyone gets exposed to.
John’s way of teaching is pure. All of his methods promote a solid
foundation for skills and safety that stay with you as you continue to
enjoy further training.”
